Current, who was a four-year varsity starter, said she chose the nearby Division II school because it felt like Benjamin Logan. She was also impressed with the coaching staff.

The senior was joined by her parents, teammates, and Lady Raiders' head coach Donnie Sosby.

Last month, Current was named the Division III Co-Player of the Year and the Southwest District Division III Player of the Year.

In February, she became the first basketball player in Logan County history to score 2,000 career points.

Current led the Raiders to CBC Mad River division titles the last four years.

She was named the league player of the year as a sophomore, junior, and senior.

Current averaged 26 points per game this season.

She also delivered a league-best 7.1 steals per game and was second in the conference with 5.8 assists per game.

Current is expected to play both guard spots for the Lady Blue Knights.

She plans to study early childhood education or sports management.

Current has a 3.5 grade point average.

She also considered Ohio Northern University.

Listen to Nikki Current discuss her college choice.

Listen to Benjamin Logan head coach Donnie Sosby reflect on Current's choice and record-breaking career.
