Updated: Lakers fall to Kenton Ridge - Tuesday basketball highlights

Local basketball teams were in action Tuesday night.

In a makeup game from Monday the Bellefontaine Lady Chiefs went to Sidney and knocked off the Yellow Jackets 54-44.

Emily Mitchell led the attack with 21.  Aubrey Stolly chipped in 12 while Chalony Tolliver added 9.

The JV Lady Chiefs also won 30-17.

Enya Mitchell & Kaylee Foreman each had 8 points.

The Indian Lake varsity boys lost to Kenton Ridge 68-66.

Collin Coburn recorded 25 points and Kale Shoffner added 21 points.

The Indian Lake JV boys fell to Kenton Ridge 40-37.

Chris Lariva tallied 13 points.

The Urbana varsity boys defeated Benjamin Logan 72-47.

Levi Boettcher had 21 points. Brandon Vogel added 16.

Cole James led the Raiders with 18.

The Hillclimbers won the JV game 66-56.

Urbana took the freshman game 36-25.

The West Liberty-Salem varsity boys defeated Greenon 56-37.

James Loffing and Neil Markin each contributed 14 points. Max Eggleston added 13.

The team is 6-5 and 4-3 in league play.

The Tigers won the JV game 42-27.

Dominic Blair added 10. Nick Burden recorded 7. Gavin Harrison, Eli McGill, and Jack Eggleston had 6 points each.

West Liberty-Salem freshman won their game, 39-23.

Wyatt Cave had 8 points. Jace Wade tallied 7. Tanner Levan netted 6.

The Riverside varsity boys fell to Botkins 46-41.

Lane Willoby led the Pirates with 14 points.

Riverside JV fell 50-22.

Triad varsity boys dribbled past Greeneview 56-54.

Hadley Levan made a 4-foot runner as time expired to win the game.

Greeneview won the JV game 55-47. They also took the freshman game, 36-29.

The Calvary Christian varsity girls defeated Village Academy 50-25.

Elisha Carter recorded 20 points and 7 steals, Ellie Young tallied 10 points, and Katie Thompson contributed 12 rebounds and 8 points.

The varsity Lady Spartans improved to 10-1 on the season.

The Ben Logan 8th grade boys lost to Northridge 36-28 at Jackson Center.

The Raiders were led by Alec Rodenberger with 12 points and 4 steals. Grady Algire added 5 points and Breshon Jacobs had 4. Jase Stathas led the team in rebounds with 5 and Brady Burrey and Blaine Woreden both had 3 steals.

The Benjamin Logan JH girls basketball teams traveled to Northridge MS to take on Kenton Ridge.

The Raider 7th grade team came away with the 30-17 win for their 8th win in a row to pick up where they left off from before the Christmas break.

Kenzie Congrove led all scorers with 10 points, Rhea Harner and Elliot Bailey each scored 6, and Kiley Daniels, Kendra Kennedy, Alanna Gibson, and Jillian Plikerd all scored 2 points.

The Raider 8th grade also defeated Kenton Ridge 47-22. Jennifer Naragon scored 19 points and Lynzee Conkleton had 13 points to lead the Raiders. Also scoring were Kerry Copenhaver with 6, Haleigh Brentlinger with 4, Kaycee Cook had 3, and Kayla Horney had 2. Ben Logan improves to 7-2 on the season as Kenton Ridge drops to 3-6.

Both Ben Logan girls teams will host Indian Lake Wednesday night.
