Updated: Lady Pirates defeat Bellefontaine in straight sets (Audio & video included)

The Riverside varsity volleyball team traveled to Bellefontaine High School Monday evening.

The Lady Pirates topped the Lady Chiefs in 3 sets: 25-12, 25-17, and 25-10.

 For Riverside, Marissa Davis recorded 15 kills and Aubrie Stillings tallied 4 solo blocks.

For Bellefontaine, Anya Nunez recorded 20 digs, Mikayla Stepp tallied 14 digs and 7 assists, Hannah Rader totaled 9 digs, Avery Moore and Chalony Tolliver each tallied 3 kills, Laney Yoder and Jaelynn Butler each had 3 blocks, Madi Dailey delivered 3 assists, and Maddie Jackson added an ace.

The Lady Pirates improve to 16-3 and host Upper Scioto Valley for Senior Night Thursday.

The Lady Chiefs fall to 1-19 and host Kenton Ridge Tuesday.

The Riverside JV team beat Bellefontaine in 3 sets: 15-25, 25-16, and 25-20.

Jr. High:

The West Liberty-Salem 7th grade team fell to Fairbanks 17-25 and 18-25.

Rylie Schultz had 6 digs, 3 points, and an ace.

Hannah Nibert recorded 5 points, an ace, and a dig.

Ava Buck had 4 points, an ace, and a dig.

The Tigers (7-7) will close their regular season Thursday against visiting West Jefferson.

The 8th grade Lady Tigers lost to Fairbanks 13-25 and 23-25.

Kierra Gilroy served 15 points with 6 aces.

Ally Angles recorded 9 points with an ace and a kill.

Gabby Williams tallied 4 points, 3 assists, 2 digs, and a solo block.

Aleah Reed added 2 kills.

West Liberty-Salem (6-7) will host West Jefferson on Thursday.
