Dale E. Tracy

Dale E. Tracy, 80, of Bellefontaine, passed away Tuesday morning, January 30, 2018 at his home.

Dale was born in DeGraff on August 29, 1937 to the late Albert William and Mildred (Ricketts) Tracy.

He was also preceded in death by a brother Robert Tracy and a sister Betty Riley.

A 1955 graduate of West Liberty High School, Dale was a veteran of the US Army. He worked many years as an assembler at Navistar, before retiring in 1999. He was a member of the United Church of Christ in West Liberty where he was a deacon and Sunday school teacher. Dale had been a scout master for several years, coached Little League baseball in West Liberty, and was a member of the West Liberty Lions club for 15 years. In his spare time, Dale loved watching Ohio State Buckeyes football and basketball.

Dale married the former Joyce Parker on December 13, 1963 in Richmond, Indiana, and she survives in Bellefontaine. He is also survived by a son Tony (Anne) Tracy of Richmond, Virginia and a daughter Lisa Tracy of Charlotte, North Carolina; two grandchildren: Meghan and Bridget Tracy; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends, including Don and Janie Moffitt.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 11 am at the West Liberty United Church of Christ where friends will be received one hour prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the West Liberty United Church of Christ, 212 W. Newell St. West Liberty, OH 43357, or to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite #300, Rockville, MD 20852.
