Maxine L. Clingerman

Maxine L. Clingerman, age 83, of Kenton, passed away at 9:07 a.m. on Sunday, January 7, 2018, at Vancrest of Ada. She was born in Wood County, Ohio on June 13, 1934 to the late Lee Alton and Maxine (Pugh) Stoddard.

On April 22, 1966 in Knoxville, Tennessee, she married Cletus D. Clingerman and he preceded her in death, June 5, 1999.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Harry) Jones of Lima, Cheryl Manns of Virginia, Melody L. (William Poulos) Fleece of Cleveland, Ohio, Kelly (Kevin) Rickenbacher, of Kenton, and Sandra Hites of Marysville; her sons, Lee A. Fleece of Roundhead, and Richard L. Fleece of Dallas, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Kay Calmes of Fostoria, Ohio, and Jany (Frank) Sleasman of Manchester, New Hampshire; and many nieces and nephews.

Maxine was a 1952 graduate of Dunkirk High School. She was a homemaker, who was a wonderful cook and baker. Maxine made the best Christmas candy and a lot of it. She was family oriented and loved to be around all her grandchildren and family. All who loved her will miss her.

Pastor David Holbrook will officiate a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 9 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Bellefontaine Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the Donor’s Choice.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine and online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.edsfh.com.
