Carol Ann "Annie" Jacobs

Carol Ann “Annie” Jacobs, 77, of Lakeview, passed away Thursday morning, December 28, 2017, at OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.

Annie was born on May 11, 1940, in Lakeview, a daughter of the late Donald and Lois Sickles Reed. On August 17, 1956, she married Clarence E. “Jake” Jacobs in Liberty, IN and he preceded her in death on August 26, 2016. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Nikki Lynn Shoe and a sister, Sue Hinkle.

She is survived by three daughters, Darlene (Steve) Shoe, Cheryl (David) Lyons, and Lisa (Wes) Legge, all of Bellefontaine, a son, Lester “Jakie” Jacobs of Lake Alford, FL, nine grandchildren, Randy (Shaniqua), Jacob, Cody, Nicklaus, Josh (Sue), Devin (Rebecca), Dylan, Jamie, and Caleb, two great grandchildren, Kaylin, and Blake, and several nieces and nephews.

Annie was a one of the original founders, past president and life member of Doyle R. Miller Amvets Post #39 Auxiliary. She retired from Copeland in Sidney after 27 years. Annie was an avid fan of sports especially the OSU Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds, Dallas Cowboys, and Cleveland Cavaliers. She enjoyed participating in and winning NFL Fantasy leagues due to her knowledge and diligent research. Annie was a loving mom and opened her home to many. A very giving woman, Annie would help anyone in need. She will be greatly missed.

Rev. Karen Blackburn will begin funeral services at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St, Lakeview with visitation from 11-2. Burial is in Huntsville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her name to the Nikki Lynn Shoe Scholarship Fund for Indian Lake High School or Doyle R. Miller Amvets Post #39.

Arrangements are in the care of Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview. Condolences may be expressed at www.shoffstallfuneralhome.com.
