Carl S. Parson

Carl S. Parson, 82, of Bellefontaine, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017 in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.

He was born in Carter County, Kentucky on March 31, 1935, the son of the late Alford and Mary (Richmond) Parson. He is also preceded in death by four brothers; Herman, John, Willard, and Bill Parson, and four sisters; Lucille Butler, Emma Deal McGlothlin, Merle Fusie, and Amelia Thomas.

On December 24, 1960, he married Julia Rose (Henry) Parson in Lima, Ohio and she preceded him in death on May 17, 2010.

He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Carl worked as a professional driver for many years and was an United States Navy Veteran. He was a 40-year member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Bellefontaine and was very involved in the church as it was a big part of his life. He also enjoyed playing golf, and in his younger years, he loved to fly his airplane.

Pastors Daniel McCarty and Greg Haisley will officiate a funeral service on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at noon in the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine. Friends may call for visitation one hour prior to the service and burial will be in Highland Cemetery, West Liberty.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church, 1505 S. Main St., Bellefontaine, OH 43311.

Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine assisted the Parson family with arrangements and condolences may be made to the family at www.edsfh.com.
