A suspended driver was arrested on multiple drug charges following a traffic stop on Route 33 near Russells Point Saturday morning around one o'clock.
The Washington Township Police Department reports that Ashley Patton, 32, of Lima, pulled into a business parking lot.
Patton stayed in the parking lot for some time.
Her vehicle was in view of the patrol car.
After the officer went around the block, Patton drove westbound on 33.
Moments later, police initiated a traffic stop.
Patton said she got lost on her way back to Lima.
Ashley had two passengers riding with her.
Their stories didn’t match, which is a criminal indicator.
A consent search was conducted.
Officers located two scales, a marijuana bowl, 69 empty gel capsules consistent in preparing illegal substances to ingest and/or distribute, and ten Schedule IV controlled pills.
Patton was charged with driving under suspension, possession of a controlled drug, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
