Repeat drunk driver injured in rollover crash

A repeat drunk driver was injured in a rollover crash on State Route 47 just east of County Road 21 (near Logansville) Monday night around 7:45.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that Bethany Alspaugh, 30, of DeGraff, was driving a 2003 Chevy Tracker westbound on 47 when she lost control and slid off the right side of the road. Her vehicle struck an embankment and rolled into a yard.

Alspaugh, who was wearing her seat belt, suffered minor injuries.

She was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Riverside EMS.

Alspaugh admitted to drinking approximately a 12 pack and driving 70-80 miles per hour.

She told deputies she was headed to Logansville to pick up her children.

Her eyes were bloodshot and her speech was slurred.

Alspaugh was charged with OVI, speed, failure to control, and expired registration.

Blood alcohol results are pending.

Alspaugh was the lone occupant.

Her vehicle had heavy damage.

Bethany was charged with OVI in 2016.
