Three deputies take oath to serve Logan County

Logan County Sheriff Randy Dodds issued oaths of office to three new Deputy Sheriff’s Monday.

Tanner Hinkle recently graduated his Basic Police Officer Academy at Clark State Community College in Springfield. Hinkle has been employed as a corrections officer with the sheriff’s office since May 2016. Tanner will continue to work in the jail.

David Branham Jr. also graduated his Basic Police Officer Academy at Clark State Community College in Springfield. Branham just started his career at the sheriff’s office on October 2nd in the corrections division.

Cole Piatt started with the sheriff’s office on October 7th as a communications officer in the sheriff’s 911 center. Cole graduated his Basic Police Academy from the Greene County Career Center in Xenia in 2016. Cole was previously employed as a police patrolman with the Mechanicsburg Police Department and served as a patrol lieutenant.

Sheriff Dodds is pleased to be part of these young men’s career and to have them as his deputies.
